We are happy to accept returns within 30 days of your purchase on all regularly priced items. Please note that samples and sale items are not returnable, and shipping charges are non-refundable. A 20% restocking fee is applied, and the customer is responsible for arranging and paying for return shipping. All returns must be in the original box and in the condition in which they were received.
A rectified tile has a precise square-cut edge, allowing tiles to be laid very closely together with smaller grout joins. Non-rectified tiles have a slightly rounded or cushioned edge, which creates a more traditional looking tile with a wider grout join.
All porcelain tiles are ceramic but not all ceramic tiles are porcelain. Ceramic simply means a tile is made from clay that has been permanently hardened by firing. For a ceramic tile to be classified as porcelain, it must have very low moisture absorption of less than 0.8%, meaning the tile will be very dense, hard and strong. Porcelain tiles are made from different clay compositions, fired at higher temperatures than regular ceramic tiles.
As tiles used externally will be exposed to natural elements, porcelain products are recommended over ceramic, as they are stronger and more stable under harsh conditions.
You definitely can! Tiling over old tiles is a great way of saving time and money. Make sure the existing tiles are in good condition, check for loose or cracked pieces that may prevent a suitable bond, and ensure tiles are free from dirt, oil, grease and dust.
It is usually recommended to allow an extra 20% for wastage for 600x1200 size tiles, depending on the tile and how it is being laid.

We will always try to match your tiles to the same batch as previously ordered, as batches can vary in colour. However, if we have run out of your batch, we will look at supplying an alternative batch.
Tiles are heavy, so safety is our number one priority. We have weight limits of 200kg for a normal car. If your order is heavier you will need to confirm you have the right vehicle for the job. We cannot load goods into an unsafe vehicle, onto a seat, or in a vehicle with the back seats folded down.
We endeavour to dispatch Metro samples within 24 hours. We do not charge for the delivery of samples within 100kms. You have to pay for the full size tile sample only. Your sample cost will be adjusted on your purchased order invoice for orders of $500 and above.
It depends on your budget, as sealing is an extra cost charged by the tiler. If you seal the grout, it will keep it easy to clean and looking brand new.
Not necessarily. Unless you have a short fall to your drain or a small drain, large format tiles can provide a contemporary aesthetic and create a feeling of spaciousness.
Porcelain is one of the hardest materials you can use as flooring, and is extremely scratch and stain resistant. We can assist you in finding the right tile for the right application, to ensure your tiles will continue to look great for years to come.
Some circumstances are beyond our control and tiles may become unavailable or discontinued, as a result of the manufacturer discontinuing an entire range or particular tiles from a series. If you find a tile you love, we recommend placing an order as soon as possible to ensure stock availability and avoid disappointment.
